Deal
Give each player three cards face down. Put three face-up cards on top of those. Then deal each player a three-card hand. The rest of the deck becomes the draw pile.
How to play
These rules are a clean, quick-start version of the classic Shithead game, with the Last Place Club special-card prompts layered in.
Give each player three cards face down. Put three face-up cards on top of those. Then deal each player a three-card hand. The rest of the deck becomes the draw pile.
Before play starts, players may swap cards from their hand with their own face-up table cards. Keep the face-down cards secret until the endgame.
On your turn, play one card or a matching set onto the discard pile. Your play must be equal to or higher than the previous play unless a special card says otherwise.
After playing, draw back up to three cards while the draw pile has cards left. When the draw pile runs out, no more refills.
If you cannot or do not want to play, pick up the whole discard pile. Your turn ends, and the next player starts a fresh pile.
When your hand is empty and the draw pile is gone, play your face-up table cards. After those are gone, flip your face-down cards blind, one at a time.
Players who get rid of all hand and table cards are safe. The last player left holding cards is the Shithead.
